This boy right here turned 13.
Right before my eyes.
It happened. I couldn't stop it.
He had a Birthday Party last year, so he didn't get one this year.
*We have 4 kids, so we do two parties a year.
He asked me for a Zelda cake....and that is what he got...!
Even though two of our kids don't get a party this year, we still make them a cake and try to make their day special. He loves the video game Zelda.
Our family always lays out the cards and gifts on the table the night before so they can be woken up to their treats.
We do not really buy anything because that we defeat the purpose of saving money and not having a birthday party. We use what we have. Luckily, the internet and printing is a good resource.
We have alot of fabric and different tablecloths, so we can usually find something to color coordinate with the theme of their cake.
*Those Hershey Kisses are supposed to be little Links.
His Cake was actually a Brownie. However, he wanted Chocolate Chip Cookie Batter mixed in...so what would that be? A Brownie Cookie? I'm guessing.
I made an old school Link out of a Freezer Transfer.
Basically, what I did was pipe onto wax paper my Link design out of buttercream frosting. I put it in the freezer for a couple hours, just needs to be in there about 90 minutes. I then just peeled it off the wax paper and put on top of the Brownie Cookie Cake. You can peel off a Freezer Transfer and put it on anything, which is the beauty of it. So simple.

His sisters made him a crown out of my bulletin board borders. What a trooper? He wore it all day to please them. They also decorated his room. My kids are so caring. It warms my heart.
Noah Turbough is so special to us.
He is our oldest child. Our only boy.
He is so sweet and kind.
What a leader. He will stand up to anyone if he believes they are wrong or being injust.
He is sensitive. He is smart. He is talented.
He constantly makes us laugh.
I thank God for him everyday.
