{Colors} Book

When I was at Lowe's with the family, I came across these Disney Paint Chips and needed one of every color...for something...I had no clue what...but they were adorable!
So, I made my daughter this Simple Colors Book.
 Maybe I should have named my blog Simple Bobbi...because that's all I do...simple stuff! Simple recipes, simple crafts, simple teaching methods...etc. With 4 kids, I just don't have time to do elaborate projects!
 You'll need Paint Chips, Badge ID Tags {Walmart has them for $1.99}, Scrapbook Paper and a Key Ring.
 First thing that I did was print out the name of each color in Microsoft Word. Using adhesive, I added the name onto each Paint Chip.
I then put the Paint Chips into the Badge ID sleeves.
Lastly, I decorated the front and back of the Colors Book with some Disney Paper.
Don't forget to put them on the key ring.
It seems really weird for me not to add ribbon onto the Key Ring. It bugs me not to fancy-it-up. However, every single time I add ribbon onto the girls toys or books...it doesn't last long. I just skipped it this time.
My daughter actually knows her colors, but the beauty of adding the words is she gets to practice reading them.
It's also perfect for her to throw into her "big girl purse" that she takes everywhere!

Easy Rib Recipe...!

Are you in need of a Fool Proof Rib Recipe?
If so....here is one that you will {love!}
My husband is not a rib person at all....but once I made these ribs...he actually requests it for dinner.
 All you do simply is Boil a Rack of Pork Ribs {you can use beef, these just have alot of meat on them} in a 2 liter of Coca Cola. Yep, Coca Cola. I'm not a Coca Cola person, but I do love to cook with it.
If you want to fill up your pot, use 2 {2 liters.} I just use one bottle and flip my ribs over to cook on both sides.
Cook in the pot with lid for about 2 hours.
At the 2 hour point, they are juicy...plump...and already cooked thoroughly.
We do want a little crunchiness to the skin though so what we do is apply BBQ Sauce all over both sides of the ribs.
After that, throw them on your grill for around 7 minutes each side, depending upon the heat you use.
That is it...!
 So....I thought that I would throw in my Cheesy Potato Recipe since I get alot of requests to bring it when I go to someone's house for dinner.
 Cube about 6-7 Red Potatoes.
Cover with water and boil them until tender.
Strain and put into a bowl.
Add roughly {I usually don't measure, but I tried to get a pretty accurate recipe for you this time} 1/2 cup Butter to the hot potatoes. It melts right in.
Add 1/2 cup Sour Cream.
Add 1 cup Cheese {I used a Cheddar and Monterey Jack mix.}
Grind 1 tsp of Pepper into the Potatoes.
Add around 2 tsp of Salt {I would add one and taste then add another...because your potatoes might be a different size than mine.}
Use a potato masher and mash away.

Looks like a complicated dinner....but it's so not...!
All your kiddos will eat it...!

{LoVe BuG} Headbands

These Headbands are so much fun..!
 The Dollar Tree had a pack of Headbands and these cute Heart Picks.
I didn't know what I was going to do with them that day....but I knew they would both come in handy.
I mean, $2 bucks for all this stuff...really?!
 I started off by pulling the glittery foamy hearts off the skewers. It wasn't hard, they pulled right off..!
I got one Pipe Cleaner {Chenille Stick....whichever you call them} and cut it into half.
Using my hot glue gun, I put some glue in the hole on the heart and stuck one end of the Pipe Cleaner inside.
 Lastly, I just put Hot Glue in place on the headband. I twisted the pipe cleaner around the headband in the hot glue 3 times.
Do the same thing on the other side. Twist it around the same number of times, to make them the same height.
Let dry...!

They turned out really fun, not just for Valentines...but Maelyn wore hers to school...! They're learning about bugs this week.
