Letter Zz Week...!

Carmendee studied the Letter Zz last week. These are some things that we did...!

Her Z Zebra from No Time For Flashcards.
She had alot of fun painting the strips on with a sponge. She loves to paint!

I had her trace Zig Zags. On another paper, she cut Zig Zags....well at least she tried to cut the Zig Zags. You can tell she so wants to learn how to write!
She made "Zero the Hero!"
This was her ZOO!
We made these Letter Z Zebra Cookies together. Everyone loved them. She was so proud. Carmendee kept saying that she made them with Mama. The recipe is here! I think it was easier to mix them using our hands and kneading the dough. It worked well.

Here are a couple printables for you all. Carm had a fun time with them!

Here are some of the books we read this week....well, only the Zz books...!

Weekend FUN...!

We started our Weekend off by heading to Pismo Beach for some family FUN!
{I know I use the word FUN alot. I can't help it. Things are just so much FUN!}
My favorite part of going to the beach is just the change in weather. You can smell the ocean air as you get closer...!
We stopped by the pier to eat some Sea Food....!

We took a late night stroll on the beach...! It was gorgeous and quiet!
 The family went to Hotlix and got some candy...!
We had to get our parents and us some Salt Water Taffy...!
I dared the kiddos to eat a Hotlix Bug. They chose these chocolate covered ants. Noah, Patience and Carmendee ate one like nothing. Just popped it in their mouths.
I wanted to make a special Halloweenie Meal for the family. We made this recipe from Gourmet Mom On The Go.
I love this Harvest Hot Chocolate. We had some whiners about it being white chocolate. It's so good though. I know the adults will love it...!
So, I went Yard Sale-ing for the first time. I mean I've been to yard sales, but never BEEN to yard sales. It was like a sport! I woke up at 4:30 and headed out. I got to go with a friend from High School. We reconnected online. It was alot of fun. I spent $4.50! I got 4 of these cool food trays, 4 shirts, some GooseBump books, and a plate hanger. Not bad?! I'm really picky at what I bring into the house, because I'm so not a pack rat. So, I have to watch out for that stuff when I go next weekend. I don't want to start collecting stuff that I don't really use.
Noah has been practicing his Trumpet everyday...!
I took the kids to their Pokemon Card Tournament. Maelyn and Noah played in it this time.
They were so embarrassed by me taking pictures.....I guess they're at that age.....that I've been dreading. Embarrassed by Mommy.

Abuela gave them so money to get snacks there at the Bookstore {where they play the Pokemon Tournaments.}
It was a nice, fun weekend. Now, my house on the other hand.....isn't looking so nice or fun!

Apple Slice Caterpillar.

I love the little faces the girls made on these. SO cute!
The girls enjoyed making these Caterpillars.

Cut some circles from construction paper.
Have your kiddos make a face out of one of the circles {we used a pompom for the nose, marker for the mouth, googly eyes, and pipe cleaner antenna.}
Cut apple slices. Have your kids dip the apple in paint and stamp each circle body.
Let dry.
Glue the circles all together to form the caterpillar.
Smile at the cuteness!

Tis The Season For {Eye Balls!}

Putting Eye Balls into your kiddos food or drink is a spooky treat this time of year..!
You can do meatball eye balls. You can create eyes out of frosting. You can even make them out of whipped cream.
I added these eyes in their drinks today to make them look like monsters.
Too bad the kids don't like blue and green drinks much. It would have been an awesome blue monster...!

A quick trick that makes the kids giggle and is out of sight....!
Check out my eyeball cake from last year.
Here is the link to my spooky smoothie from last Halloween.
I love this time of year...!

Cute License Plate.

I like my cars to be as cute as the inside of my house...! They need to be clean and decorated and organized too...right?! I always have a license plate with something fun on it. I just love them. There were a few license plates hanging on a hook in my garage with the Dealers names on them or old sayings. I thought I would jazz a couple of them up.
For this plate, I Mod Podged it and totally glitterfied it up. With a Martha Stewart glitter pen, I wrote "My Kids Rock!"
Lastly, a put a couple coats of clear sealer on top. I wasn't sure if it would exactly work, so I ran it under water to make sure it doesn't come off when we wash the car.
It worked....!

This one went on my car today....!
Tomorrow, I'm going to spray paint another old license plate and thinking of putting white vinyl on it using my Cricut then of course a sealer.
What?! I can make a few. It's like an accessory....but for the car. Depending on what mood I'm in!

SuPeR HeRoES..!

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. I'm really busy, honest....not slacking at all. Nope.
We have been doing many things with other kids....Girl Scouts, Book Fair, playdates, birthday parties, Bible Studies....that I didn't want to post other people's kiddos without asking for permission first.
I wanted to show you what my husband worked on for the Book Fair. The theme for Fall was "Heroes of Reading!" "Reading Saves the Day!"
What a FUN theme?!
He made this cutout for the families to take pictures in as Super Heroes.
My Heroes...!
Be a HERO and READ....!

{Halloween Cups}

These cups are the perfect way to dress up any celebration...!
At Party City right now, they are having a sale. Buy one set of cups {Black or Orange} and get another set for FREE...! So, I bought the orange ones for a Girl Scout Celebration last week and I got a black set saved.
These can be used as TREAT cups or for DRINKS...!
The kids can even make their own...!
How cute did theirs turn out?!
Staple a Pipe Cleaner on and some Ribbon for a handle if you want...!
Fill with Ice Cream, Treats or Drinks...!

I'm saving the black cups for a get together with my girlfriends in October. I'm going to hot glue some super cute ribbon that I got from Ribbon Retreat {my fav ribbon website} onto them for the cutest TREAT cups.
I get all giddy for cute things...!

{Fun with Paper Plates....!}

Paper Plates Projects are some of the cutest and simplest crafts that the kiddos can do. All my kids, no matter what age can create something fun with plates. Carmendee made some great ones for the Fall.
Here is her Monster...!

Her apple pie was made out of two plates. She painted the bottom plate brown on the backside and red in the middle. The top one was painted brown and I cut the slits with an X-Acto Knife. She glued the edges together.

Carmendee's Scaredy Cat...!

Her "girl" Pumpkin....!

Fun, Fun, Fun...!
These look so cute up on their bulletin board....!

What's New Cupcake?

The authors of Hello Cupcake are at it again. They have another book out called What's New Cupcake? We got these books in for our School Book Fair and someone put it aside for me because there was only a couple. Do they know me or what? They are awesome! There are some really cute new designs in this book.
I thought I would make the Picnic Ants and Watermelon Cupcakes before Summer was over...!
They were so tasty too...! I doctored up the cake mix and the batter was so moist. Of course coconut on the tops help with the tastiness. I love coconut...!
The perfect end of summer treat.
{If you need the doctored up recipe it was a box of cake mix, 4 large eggs, the amount of oil on the box and 1 cup of buttermilk. Be careful because these moist babies expand!}

We made the Switcheroo...! We are officially a dot com now.

Women Be Craftin.....#3....!

For our last Birthday Project and Summer Craft Day, we made these Birthday Boards.
Instructions are here at How Does She.
My sister-in-law showed me how to use the Jigsaw to cut the MDF wood. Noe usually likes to do that for me. I think I'll try to do it myself for now on! Tools are fun!

It is a Countdown from 6 days before the Big Day!
The birthday person gets to choose the meals for the week and a special activity each day such as Hang The Birthday Wreath. You hang their choices up on the little hooks.

There are no more birthdays this year, except for mine which is in November.
So, next year this will be a fun treat for the family. The kids are already talking about what they want for dinner...!
This is the back of the board...!
For some reason, it took us awhile to make. It was worth it...!
It's cute and fun!
