The older kids made some Octopus {Octopi? hmmm....plural. I need to look it up.}
They painted paper plates blue. I thought green or purple would have looked cute, but kids have a mind of their own. Maybe I should have made my own Octopus to make it however I wanted?!
While it dried, they simply cut strips of construction paper out in yellow, again their choice
{I must be in a mood or something inside my head.} They folded the strips of paper accordian style and glued them onto the plate. The last step was simply making a face.
They turned out really cute. I should have trusted them..!
The Octopus on the right is eating a fish {too fun!}

I must start using your creative ideas. My daughter would be in Heaven. She loves to craft. Thanks for sharing.
awe! how cute :) At first I thought this may be an Octo-Mom related post haha thank goodness it isn't even close!! xo
Those are darling!
Stopping by from SITS and thought I would say Hi!
So cute!!!
They will still come up with some crazy stuff when they are older too. My daughter created the "Flower Tail Pichen" for a school project and it was really cute (she is 16) in a child-like way. If you want to see it, I posted the pics on my blog with the name of her creation as the title (use the labels in the left bar to find it).

These are so cute. I found a great octopus I want to make and post, but all my supplies are at school and I haven't gotten over there. This gives me a good reason to get moving. I'll be sure to link over.
Zorro is OBSESSED with octopi lately!
We made these and used reinforcers on the tentacles for the suckers!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I was stuck for ONE LAST beach themed project for this years vacation bible school for the 3 & 4 year old class. I'm going to use this idea, I think it will be perfect for our little guys (we won't use paint though!) I came across your blog through The Crafty Crow. I'll let you know in a few weeks how it turned out! :D
