BUNNY MONEY EGGS.

Easter is just around the corner and I wanted to share the way that we do Easter Eggs in our family.
Years ago, we came up with something called Bunny Money.
Our kids were getting so much candy between the eggs, Grandma, church, school... that we decided to not put candy in their plastic Easter Eggs.
We made some Bunny Money and put those in their plastic eggs.

{You have permission to copy these, enlarge them, print them}

After the kids find all the plastic eggs, they open them up and count how much Bunny Money they got.
They then get to buy items from our Bunny Store.
We set up a table with price lists and tons of prizes from the $1 store.

They get to SHOP Away like a real store...!

Curious....do the kids believe in the Easter Bunny? This is a great idea and what a great learning tool too!

Oh i love this idea.. yes my kids get too much too.. and i am fine with it.. but they still too young to understand that if they ate only one chocolate egg a day.. they could last for like 20 days... but do they do that? NO.. they go crazy and eat it all in a few days...

the plastic egg thing is new to Australia believe it or not.. so this year we are just putting M&M's or jelly beans in the eggs... i told this to the people at the shop where i got the eggs and they are all like.. ohhhh good idea!! hee hee.. we are all about chocolate in Australia

and I was worried Blutac isnt blutak in the US... it is just the stuff you stick up posters with... i googled it.. maybe you call it poster putty?? Hope this helps :)

What a great idea! You're right about it being one candy-filled holiday after another. Ugh.

Cute blog...I'll be back!

What a cute idea. My older girls are to the point they like real money now. :) So we put change in ours. We hide hundreds and hunt with friends. It's a bit crazy. I wish I could have thought of this years ago though. Cali would even still love it but she would be the only one doing it. :(

I love this idea. My SIL and I have been trying to think of some alternative way of the egg hunt b/c we too know there is way to much candy going into our children's bellies. This would be a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.

this is a really creative way to switch up the traditional Easter activities and all that candy overload! I used to play something like this in kindergarten wayy back, but never thought of this for Easter. Used to love it! Thanks for sharing.
